They returned to the U.S. for schooling. Both enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War. James served as Chaplain with the 2nd U.S. Colored Troops (pp. 118-206); Edward served with Company K of the 57th Massachusetts Regiment (pp. 288-357). Neither brother survived the war. Very Good.
