1930. Hardcover. Flexible cloth album. Some leaves detached. Oblong 24cm. Contains over 80 photos. Ranging in size from about 4 x 6 cm. to 8 x 13.5 cm. with almost half being the larger size. These appear to be amateur photos. Brief captions inked on almost half of the photos. White spotting on nine photos with some (mostly minor) loss of image. Otherwise, photos browned, but clear with good detail. Good. Item #60972
The photos show various scenes of Ceylon including Colombo, the sea coast, and the ruins at Anuradhapura. Many of the photos include the young couple whose album this was and their friends. Some photos are from the couple's honeymoon trip. There are several photos of houses they occupied in Colombo and also scenes of snipe shooting.
