INSCRIBED by Henderson (dated 1927) on front pastedown Name stamps of another owner on front free endpaper. No jacket. Regional (Ohio and nearby) African American poet who produced at least 10 books of poetry, mostly in dialect. This was his eighth book. It contains twenty-one poems, at least seven of which had appeared in one or more of his previous books. We have also had this book bound in maroon cloth. We are not aware of any established priority for the cloth variants. Good. Item #65428
