INSCRIBED by Hughes in 1962 to Milton Rogovin, the social documentary photographer from Buffalo ("Especially for Milton Rogovin in gratitude for your wonderful Store Front Church photos ..."). A novel about two women with no jobs who decide to open an urban store front church. Hughes also wrote this as a play but it closed after only three weeks when it finally opened on Broadway in 1963. The photo of Hughes on the rear panel of the jacket is by Roy DeCarava and shows Hughes with a jacket slung over his shoulder and a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. Very Good / Very Good.
