Tinted lithograph on front of a forlorn young man leaning against a stile in a rural Irish setting. "8th edition" in tinted border around the lithograph. "The Music composed and most cordially dedicated to Mrs. Isaac McGaw, of New York City, by William R. Dempster" printed beneath the illustration. Statement preceding the music" Portraying the feelings of an Irish peasant previous to his leaving home, calling up the scenes of his youth under the pitiful reflection of having buried his wife and child, and what his feelings will be in America."
