The title-leaf also has several large bits of the titling stripped from title-page (which is also missing a fairly long lance-shaped piece). Significant foxing and a fair amount of other wear. A serviceable copy of this desirable item detailing the activities of the Society, with most of its contents devoted to events and reactions to the successful effort of pro-slavery whites to prevent George Thompson, a prominent abolitionist, from speaking at the 1835 meeting of the Society.
