Numerous, mostly small, bits of cover cloth gone. Foxing. Corner stain on plates as well as a few leaves at both ends of book. Goodell identified as a missionary in Constantinople of American Board Commissioners of Foreign Missions. The color plates were produced by an American firm (Sarony & Major). The folding color plate depicts Arabs attacking Goodell's residence in Beirut at the time of the Greek Revolution. Good. Item #84247
