Original dark purple-brown cloth, rebacked competenly but not artistically in a purple-brown buckram that is does nat exactly match the color of the original cloth. 19cm. Institutional and private library bookplates on free endpapaers. Bookplates of 2 former owners (GarrettTheological Seminary and Burke Casari, for the latter of whom this was rebound in Lincoln, Nebraska). Typed slip mounted beneath Garrett bookplate identifying this as coming to them from the library of Bishop Joseph Crane Hartzell and another similar slip on the facing pastedown bearing the signature (facsimile?) of Samuel Lewis. Typed slip (by Casari) mounted on front free endpaper in Vol II locating and identifying four faint ink annotations or underlinings in that volume. Very Good. Item #87186
