London: L. I. Higham, 1802. 2nd editon. Hardcover. vii, [1], 9-287, [5]p. Later half polished calf over marbled boards. Raised bands; guilt lettering on leather title labels on spine. 18cm. Stains on a few pages. Some restoration work on damaged Dedication leaf and last two printed pages (appendix with errata on verso of last leaf) -- no loss of text. Inked name dated 1816 of previous owner on blank leaf preceding title-page. John Ralph Willis bookplate on front pastedown. Title-page much whiter than adjacent leaves -- probably washed or possibly a later facsimile. Contrary to her deceased husband's earlier abolitionist views in his book {"An Account of the Slave Trade on the Coast of Africa"), Ms. Falconbridge wrote this to support slavery and the slave trade. Very Good. Item #87566
