Two vertical creases where folded. Oblong 22cm. Thompson, then serving as a white officer in an African American regiment, spent most of his Army career in the American Southwest and also served with U.S Forces in the Philippines. He retired as a Brigadier General in 1905. Very Good. Item #88028
