As described in the leaflet, "The Negro Boy and the Monkey" was a popular play, that had been first presented in 1927 by the Moscow Children's Theater and produced by Satz, credited here as that group's founder, manager and artistic director. The brochure describes this play as the favorite play of Soviet children. Most of the leaflet is devoted to a synopsis of the 9 scenes in this production. Undated but at least several years later than 1927 -- this English-language leaflet reports that the Moscow Children's Theatre had produced 45 plays and given over 4500 performances. Near Fine.
