Louisville: Southern Conference Educational Fund, Inc., 1963-1964. Three separate 4-page issues of this monthly newsletter/newspaper. 42cm. Later folds, probably for mailing or storage. SCEF focused on fighting racial segregation in the South. The Southern Patriot, published monthly 10 times a year excluding August and July, was edited during this period by Anne Braden. The Southern Conference Educational Fund, regarded by many as Far Left, was dedicated to ending racism, poverty and other injustices in the South and opposed war as an instrument of national policy. It was very supportive of SNCC and other Civil Right efforts. Very Good. Item #88752
