One of Allen key's to fixing things was repealing the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the U. S. Constitution. The first edition of this work appears to have been published in 1902. Allen, a Providence lawyer, was a classmate (at Brown University) and good friend to John D. Rockefeller, Jr. His second wife (Martha Baird) married Rockefeller in 1951 a year after Allen's death.
