A Lynching Victim (and What Appears to Be a Second Victim Hanging at the Right Edge of the Image).
Image size 12.5 x 17.7 cm. Image not sharp but clear enough to see. Some spots here and there. Portions of the image scraped off at bottom. This came to us in a photo mount from Bryant Studios Inc. located at 705 1/2 Main St. in Fort Worth, Texas but we don't know that the studio had anything to do with taking or porcessing this photo. Lynching photos are a grisly reminder of what whites have been only too willing to do to subjugate and terrorize African Americans. We were unable to identify the victim or victims in this photo.
