Former owner's Name ("Mable E. Raimey" in pencil on front free endpaper. No jacket. Laid in is an appealing Season's Greetings card printed on one side only with the cheery printed image, by someone named "Wheeler," of a medieval scribe with "Season's Greetings" and "Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waddell Chesnutt" printed thereon. Chesnutt's last novel which was set in the post-bellum south. Second state of binding with author's name spelled correctly. A superb copy. We have not seen the printed greeting card before. Fine.
