The Indian Bulletin, Vol. XIII, No. ??, (February, 1900)

Hartford: Connecticut Indian Association, 1900. 6p. Text in four columns. 36 cm. Defective -- most of first leaf is missing; all that remains the furthest left of
7 the four columns. The other two leaves are intact but with a modest stain in the center of both leaves. Later folds. This quarterly issue is almost entirely devoted the decision to transfer the Connecticut Mission in Idaho (and its 160 acre plot of land) to the Episcopal Board of Missions. This issue was sent to "Hon. H. L. Dawes of Pittsfield." Senator Dawes was a Republican Senator who was behind the notorious Dawes Art of 1887 which sought to end communal land holding by Indian Tribes. The 160 acres may have been some of that communal land. Fair. Item #91243

Price: $85.00
