In 1927 Douglas was appointed Art Critic for The Crisis (the NAACP magazine) and illustrated God's Trombones," by James Weldon Johnson. Douglas later did a number of murals. He got an Master of Arts degree at Columbia University's Teachers College in 1944 and became head of the Art Department at Fisk University where he remained until 1966. Very Good. Item #92003
