Paperback. 8 separately, and often partially, paginated and dated softcover report which appear to have been typed and photocopied for distribution to Board members (and perhaps others): (1) Interim Report for Interim Meeting Feb. 25, 1951 [4 pages]; (2) Interim Report for Annual Interim Meeting Feb. 24, 1952 (11 total pages); (3) Interim Report for Annual Interim meeting on Feb. 13-14, 1954 (iv, 53p.); (4) Interim Report for Annual Interim Meeting on Dec. 31, 1954-Jan. 1, 1955 (4 pages); (5) Report submitted at the Annual Convention Meeting , August 8-11, 1955 (6 pages); (6) Interim Report for Annual Interim Meeting Feb. 11-12, 1956 (5 pages); (7) Annual Report for 62nd Annual Convention of NMA in 1957 (4 pages); and (8) Interim Report for Annual Interim Meeting Feb. 9, 1958 (6 pages). 28 cm. Last page detached on earliest report.. A couple of figures corrected in ink in second report. The third report is much longer than the others because Cobb was summarizing his activities during the first four years as editor and laying out in some detail his thinking about improving the journal, providing honest circulation figures, and detailing his efforts to deal with an ongoing problem involving the firm printing or publishing the periodical and difficulties in getting support from the Publication Committee some of whose members seemed more supportive of the interests of the printer than the journal and its editor. Cobb, a physician with his M.D from Howard University, was also a physical anthropologist, and a distinguished professor at Howard University. He served as editor of the Journal of the National Medical Association from 1949 to 1977. He also served terms as President of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists (1957-1959), the NAACP (1976-1982) and the National Medical Association (1964-1965). Very Good. Item #94516
