Splitting allong hinge area on front cover has been glued down resulting in some warping of front cover. Gift inscription to Sheffield Friendly Union (in Sheffield, Mass.) on blank page following front free endpaper. 1 signature lightly pulled.. Mostly light staining in margins on some batches of pages. One of the three books by Stowe published under the name Christopher Crowfield. The book contains a collection of works on housekeeping, home life, domestic economy, etc. many of which are supposedly told from the viewpooint of a husband.
