Moderate staining and foxing on front cover and most text leaves. This military academy was founded by Alden Partridge, a controversial former superintendent of the U. S. Military Academy at West Point and a firm believer in exercise, military academies and militias. The move did not last. Partridge and his academy were back in Northfield, Vermont after only a few years. Norwich University has survived over the years. Wikipedia reports that it currently enrolls more than 4000 students (2500+ traditional undergraduates and 1500+ online graduate and undegraduate). Good. Item #96156
