Hardcover. 8. text leaves (2 folding), approximately 112 illustrated leaves (mostly photos and a few maps, a few folding) followed by 200 pages of text and a colophon leaf, Oblong tied blue cloth. 20 x 26 cm. Top edge gilt (although much of the is gone). Original somewhat worn chitsu wraparound case present but lacking one of the two pegged ties. Lacks front free endpaper. Partial splitting of a later vertical fold on title leaf. Text leaves not printed on acid free paper and are somewhat browned. Meiji Jingu, a Shinto Shrine in Tokyo,dedicated in 1920 and completed in 1921, was destroyed in the Allied air raids on Tokyo during World War II . The present shrine at this location was completed in 1958. This seems to be a contemporary celebratory record of tthe construction and dedication of the shrine. Google offered confusing translations of the title so we created our own title. Very Good. Item #96330
